Many wonderful organizations have put together special Independence Day “thank you” offerings for veterans and active duty military members (in some cases their respective families as well). California’s Great America:
Current and past military men and women will be honored with free park admission July 1-4 and can bring up to 6 guests for a discounted price.
Carowinds:
Carowinds offers free park admission to any active, inactive or retired service men and women July 3-5.
Cincinnati Zoo:
All military members will receive free admission on July 4. Military personnel can also purchase up to six half-price admission tickets for members of their immediate family.
Dorney Park:
Dorney Park’s Tribute to the Armed Forces program will offer a free regular admission ticket to any active or retired military personnel Memorial Day weekend (May 27-29) and Fourth of July (July 1-4). Military personnel who qualify for the discount include active military, retired military, National Guard, veterans with honorable or medical discharge and Reserve Officers’ Training Corps. Valid ID should be presented at turnstile for entry into the park.
Funderland:
We would like to say a great big thank you to all those who have served or are currently serving in the Military by offering a FREE day of riding for that service member and their family. Gilroy Gardens Family Theme Park:
July 1 – 4. This is our way of thanking military men and women for their dedication, service and sacrifice while defending our freedom, way of life and for protecting this country we call home. Active Duty and Retired Military personnel get FREE ADMISSION to the park, on the dates listed above, when presenting a Military ID—one complimentary admission per ID.
Kings Dominion:
Kings Dominion is offering free admission for active duty military and veterans June 30 through July 4. They are also offering discounted tickets for dependents.
Kings Island:
Kings Island is offering free admission to active and retired members of the U.S military during the Fourth of July holiday, July 1 through July 4. Military who qualify for the free admission ticket include active military, retired military, National Guard, veterans with honorable or medical discharge and Reserve Officers’ Training Corps with government issued ID. A valid military ID must be presented at Kings Island to take advantage of this offer.
Michigan’s Adventure:
Michigan’s Adventure will be celebrating Tribute to the Armed Forces by offering military personnel of the Armed Forces, National Guard and Reserve a free admission.
Valleyfair:
Valleyfair is offering free admission during their Military Days July 1 through 4 for active duty military and veterans. Any member of the armed service, active or veteran, will receive a free regular admission ticket into Valleyfair. Along with free admission, members of the military will be able to purchase discount admission tickets for members of their immediate family (maximum of six) at a special military discount price of $35.00 plus tax per ticket. A valid military ID must be presented at a Valleyfair ticket window to receive this offer.
Worlds of Fun:
July 4th. Complimentary tickets available for active duty, reserve, or retired military with honorable or medical discharge and government issued ID. Veterans or active military members only will receive complimentary admission to Worlds of Fun and can bring up to six (6) members of their immediate family on admission at $36.00 + tax each.
Blue Star Museums:
Blue Star Museums access 2,000 museums across America with free admission to the nation’s military, from Memorial Day through Labor Day.
Cincinnati Zoo:
All military members will receive free admission on July 4. Military personnel can also purchase up to six half-price admission tickets for members of their immediate family.
Columbus Zoo and Aquarium:
Military DAYZ give you free admission to The Columbus Zoo and Aquarium July 1 through July 7. Click here for more
National State Park:
Don’t forget to check into the FREE Annual Passes for military veterans who meet a certain criteria.
Waves of Honor:
This program offers any active duty military, reservist or National Guardsman ONE FREE ADMISSION each year and up to three direct dependents. to either Busch Gardens Williamsburg,Busch Gardens Tampa, Sesame Place, SeaWorld San Antonio, SeaWorld San Diego, SeaWorld Orlando. THESE OFFERS ARE NOT AVAILABLE AT THE PARK and military verification is through Troop ID. Click the links to learn more.
SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment also has Veterans Offer via Waves of Honor for Sesame Place, Busch Gardens Williamsburg, Water Country USA, SeaWorld San Antonio. These offers are not available at the parks and military verification is through Troop ID.
Qualified service members and veterans must validate through the Troop ID on the website in order to take advantage of this offer. Qualified service members and veterans include active, retired, honorably separated officers and enlisted personnel of the U.S. military.

Applebee’s Military Discount:
Applebee’s will give you 10% off with valid military ID. Contact your local Applebee’s prior to visiting to double check. There may be restrictions (example not on alcohol, etc.).
Buffalo Wild Wings Military Discount:
Some Buffalo Wild Wings (BWW) offer 10% discounts. Check with your local store first.
Burger King Military Discount:
Some Burger Kings offer 10% discounts, check with the store first.
Chevy’s Fresh Mex Military Discount:
Some sites show an up to 20% discount. Check with your local Chevy’s Fresh Mex store first.
Chick-fil-A Military Discount:
Some Chick-fil-A locations MAY offer a 10% military discount. Always check with each Chick-fil-A location first. Must present a valid military ID.
Dairy Queen Military Discount:
Many Dairy Queens offer military discounts. Some sites show a discount of up to 50%. Check with your local Dairy Queen first.
El Chico Mexican Restaurant Military Discount:
We’ve had supporters tell us El Chico offers a 10% discount for veterans and active duty military. Contact El Chico to make sure they are still offering 10% off.
Fuddruckers Military Discount:
Some Fuddruckers offer a discount from 10-15% off for those who a military ID. Definitely contact Fuddruckers and ask about their military discount before visiting.
Hard Rock Cafe Military Discount:
Some locations offer discounts for those with a active duty military ID of up to 15%. Check with your local Hard Rock Cafe first.
Hooter’s Military Discount:
Most Hooters offer 10% off on Mondays with valid military ID. Check with your local Hooters just in case.
Johnny Rocket’s Military Discount:
Some Johnny Rocket’s have been rumored to offer up to 50% off with valid military ID. Definitely check with your local Johnny Rocket’s before ordering.
Lone Star Steakhouse Military Discount:
Lone Star Steakhouse offers 20% off on Mondays, and 10% all other days of the week with valid military ID.
Ninety Nine Restaurant and Pub Military Discount:

Outback Steakhouse offers 10% off with valid military ID. Please contact your local Outback Steakhouse prior to visiting to double check they offer this military discount.
Schlotzsky’s Deli Military Discount:
Many sites claims Schlotzsky’s will give 30% off with valid military ID. Definitely check with Schlotzsky’s Deli before ordering.
Shoney’s Military Discount:
Some sites state that Shoney’s offers 15% off for all service men and women in uniform. Military, Fire, Police and EMT’s in uniform (as well). Check with your local Shoney’s about this military discount before ordering.
Texas Roadhouse Military Discount:
Texas Roadhouse gives up to 20% off with valid military ID.

Home Depot is offering a 10% discount on July 4 active duty military and veterans. Many Home Depots offer 10% year-round.
Rack Room Shoes Military Discount:
Many Rack Room Shoes will give a 10% military discount on Independence Day.
Lowe’s Military Discount:
Lowe’s Honors U.S. Military Past and Present with 10 Percent (10%) Off Every Day for In-Store and Online Purchases.
