VeteranOwnedBusiness.com Celebrates 1st Year Anniversary by Releasing New Military and Business Ownership Tribute Section

Wednesday, November 11th, 2009

Leading free directory of businesses owned by United States military veterans celebrates significant milestone by releasing a new section with comments from over 500 businesses as to why “being in the military helped me become a better entrepreneur”

Melbourne, Florida – November 11, 2009 – VeteranOwnedBusiness.com, the most comprehensive, user friendly directory of businesses owned by veterans, active duty military, reservists and service disabled veterans, celebrated their 1st year anniversary today by releasing a new “tribute to the military and business ownership” section that highlights quotes from veterans around the country who own businesses and feel being in the United States Military has helped them become a better entrepreneur.

The military and business ownership testimonial section in VeteranOwnedBusiness.com highlights feedback from several hundred business owners from every state and just about every industry imaginable.  Individual testimonials run randomly throughout the directory’s 300,000 plus pages and are listed in the testimonial section.

VeteranOwnedBusiness.com, while only a year old (launched on Veterans Day 2008), has experienced phenomenal growth in both businesses profiled (nearly 2,500) and site visitors.  Since going live last November, VeteranOwnedBusiness.com has had nearly 300,000 unique visitors, nearly 2.5 million page views and has received 1,000s of phone calls and emails from companies, consumers and fellow veterans around the country who proudly use VeteranOwnedBusiness.com when searching for products or services online.

“Many business owners have left very detailed comments mentioning ‘respect,’ ‘loyalty,’ ‘dedication,’ ‘discipline’ and other traits gained while serving our country that each feels has made him or her a better person and leader and, therefore, a better business owner.” said Brian K. St.Ours, VeteranOwnedBusiness.com’s Founder and President.  “A vast majority of the business owners profiled in VeteranOwnedBusiness.com credit their time in the United States Military for their business’ success.  Those of us who work with businesses owned by prior military members know that these same traits that make our military the elite force that it is are the same traits that make a business successful in today’s tough economy.  What better way to celebrate Veterans Day and our first anniversary at the same time than by showing this tribute from veterans who thank the military for their business’ success.”

Membership in VeteranOwnedBusiness.com is absolutely free.  Each qualifying company gets a detailed online company profile which includes contact information, directions with a detailed mapping system, a product/service description, link to the company’s website (if one exists) and several other details.  Each member’s listing is integrated into VeteranOwnedBusiness.com’s search capability so each company, product and/or service can be found geographically, by category and even within a certain radius of a zip code.

Veterans, active duty military, reservists and especially service disabled veterans who own a business are encouraged to visit VeteranOwnedBusiness.com for more information and to sign up for their company’s free business membership and profile.
