Mission and Installation Contacting Command (MICC), Mission Contracting Office (MCO) – Fort Eustis plans to conduct vendor outreach and training to Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSBs) at 2746 Harrison Loop, Fort Eustis, VA on 27 July 2011 from 1300 to 1400. The purpose of the training is to educate SDVOSBs about the types of service acquired by MCO – Fort Eustis and provide guidance on how best to market services to this organization. Space is limited to 29 attendees; therefore, vendors must register in advance and only 1 attendee from each company may attend. To register, send an e-mail to the Assistant Director, Office of Small Business Programs (OSBP), MICC MCO – Fort Eustis at Sharon.r.morrow@us.army.mil containing the company name, attendee name, phone number, mobile phone number, and e-mail address of the attendee. A registration confirmation e-mail will be sent containing directions to 2746 Harrison Loop and important information about access to Fort Eustis.

Outreach Event: US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) South Atlantic Division (SAD) located in Atlanta, Georgia is hosting its 3rd Annual Regional Service-Disabled Veteran & Small Business Conference from 22nd to 23rd of March 2011. The Matchmaking Event will occur on the 23rd of March 2011. The Conference will be held in Atlanta Georgia from 8:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. at the Sam Nunn Atlanta Federal Center, 61 Forsyth St., Atlanta, Ga. 30303.

This outreach event will provide a venue for SAD to discuss its mission, goals and contracting opportunities with the Small and Large Business Communities. Those companies interested in participating in this outreach must have the capability to provide, but not limited to Design, Construction, Construction Management, Environmental Services, and Civil Engineering, to include Dredging for SAD. The South Atlantic Division’s goal for hosting this Regional Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business and Small Business forum is to communicate the requirements within the Southeast and increase resources and opportunities by sharing information.

Registration: Interested firms desiring to participate in the outreach event must have a valid e-mail address. Due to space limitation, only two representatives from each company are allowed to register for the event and registration will be discontinued after the maximum limit of participation has been reached, and no on-site registration will be permitted.

Matchmaking Schedule: After your registration has been completed you will receive a confirmation message containing your matchmaking appointment schedule. Since Conference space is limited you are encouraged to register early. Registration will begin the week of 14 February 2011 and will close on 16 March 2011 at 5:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. To register for this conference, at http://www.sad.usace.army.mil/Business/SmallBusiness.asp and look for the 3rd Annual Regional Service-Disabled Veteran & Small Business Conference icon and when it becomes active you will be able to select the link to complete the registration.

Conference Fees: This conference is free and attendance is limited. You are encouraged to register early.

Agencies in Attendance: Department of the Army, USACE, SAD, (which includes the Districts of Mobile, Wilmington, Jacksonville, Charleston, and Savannah). NOTE: This announcement is open to all businesses seeking opportunities with the above listed agencies.

Large Business Participation: Large Businesses are encouraged to register and attend.

Large Business Table Request: Large Businesses interested in reserving a match making table on 23 March 2011 must e-mail their requests to one of the district members working within the Mobile District or the Savannah District. The Mobile District e-mail address is: Cy.C.Simons@usace.army.mil. The Savannah District e-mail address is: Elizabeth.A.Funk@usace.army.mil. For prompt accountability, ensure the wording of your subject line of your e-mail contains the title: (Large Business Table Request) and the contents of your e-mail must contain your company’s name. Large Businesses who want to reserve a conference table have until 14 February 2011 at 05:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time.
