Winners to be announced at the Opening Ceremony at the U.S. Small Business Conference on November 11th in San Francisco, CA. Please think about who you know that is influential, seems to know everyone and has made an impact in their community or made a difference to you in your own business. Share a story about who they are and why they should receive this award. We invite you to nominate an associate, client, co-worker, friend or acquaintance that you believe is an exceptional candidate for this year’s award. Deadline to submit a nomination is Oct 23rd, 2011.

VeteranOwnedBusiness.com is proud to announce the addition of a new main section in our Veteran Owned Business Directory called Lodging and Travel. Here you will find a small, but growing list of Bed and Breakfast places, hotels, resorts, campgrounds, motels, time shares, cruises, vacation rentals and transportation companies (buses, taxi cabs and limousines) thoughout the United States owned by veterans, active duty military and service disabled veterans.

From a hotel in Key West owned by a retired Marine to a taxi cab company owned by an Army Reservist in Georgia to a bed and breakfast in South Dakota owned by a Navy retiree, we have dozens of businesses owned by veterans, active duty military, reservists and service disabled veterans that are directly involved with lodging and travel services.
