Missouri Veterans Support Convention – Help veterans learn how to receive disability assistance, employment assistance, education opportunities and needed fellowship and council to adjust from combat experiences.

This is a statewide event and will have around 250 leaders from organizations like the VFW, American legion, Mission Continues, Missouri Veterans Commission and many other active Veteran groups. Leaders from many VA organizations (state and federal) will be speaking on Veteran benefits and assistance programs. Veteran support groups and nonprofit organizations will be providing information about available Veteran opportunities and / or request for assistance.

The purpose of the convention is for veterans and community members to receive first hand information on current veterans related issues and topics. Participants will gain information directly from the organizations tasked with the responsibility of protecting and providing for our Veterans and their families and will gives you an opportunity to interface and address concerns to directors of many VA organizations.

We will be speaking to hundreds who will intern do the same. Please come and become informed so as to bring back the most current information to your communities, families and fellow veterans.

Additionally several state legislators will address the group on current issues and answer direct questions relating to their involvement in VA affairs and legislation that directly affects the betterment of Veterans and their families.

Some briefing topics: State and Federal legislation; Veteran Service Officer; Veterans employment opportunities and assistance; Disability services; Department Of Elementary and Secondary Education support; combat related issues; available statewide community programs, Veterans Cemetery, Veterans Homes, and many more.

We welcome suggestions on potential guest speakers and organizations. Please share your ideas with me and I will make them happen. We welcome you to speak to the group about your organization and to have an information booth or display showcasing how you support Veterans. There is no charge for the event aside from an optional lunch meal.
