Fighting For Our Heroes Foundation works with disabled veterans, service members and their families assisting them in receiving their benefits through the Department of Veterans Affairs. Additionally we send care packages to deployed and hospitalized service members, set up support networks for various segments of the veteran community and we also do homeless and Native American veterans outreach as well. Comments on the Military and Business Ownership...Although I was injured early in my military career and was forced to medically retire, it helped me to better understand the plight of disabled veterans. I spent years not only going through the VA system, but instead using it as an opportunity to absorb how the system worked and my wife and I spent years researching the VA learning how to work with efficiently so that we could then help our fellow veterans make it through the VA system efficiently as well.
