Defenders of Freedom - CA Chapter: As friends and families of deployed military and veterans, our main goals are to send support to our troops, organize care packages to mail abroad, provide resources and volunteer opportunities, and be supportive for all the troops and veterans around the world! Defenders of Freedom in California supports our troops in these ways: • Gathering with parents, friends and family members in support of each other • Bringing community awareness and involvement • Supporting wounded servicemen and women • Aid to Gold Star families who have lost loved ones • Helping families of deployed military in building community networks • Sending care packages to our troops deployed overseas • Assisting veterans and their organizations • Providing welcome at the Sacramento airport to our men and women in uniform Contact Defenders of Freedom - CA Chapter today in Sacramento at: (916) 339-0924. Since my son signed to serve our country in the Army in 2003, I dedicated my life to support families and deployed servicemen and women in the Armed Forces. Learning the good and the bad through his two deployments to Iraq, trying to integrate his experiences into a civilian life, helping him throughout all as a family, gave me the experiences I have today.
