The American Legion is the largest patriotic, Veteran organization in the U.S. with overseas units world-wide. Our Leonard W. Kidd Post 2001 is named in honor of a fallen Ashburn, VA native killed in service to the country while in Viet Nam.

We support a variety of veterans needs and programs such as Wounded Warriors, the Bluemont VA Boulder Crest retreat site, and Honor Flights for WWII and Vietnam veterans. We also support youth and civic programs, including the Ashburn Knights baseball team. We rely on new members to maintain and grow our support programs.

We welcome all interested, eligible veterans to participate actively and attend our monthly meetings at 7:30 pm on the second Thursday of each month (Mills Recreation Center, 43895 Grottoes Drive, Ashburn VA 20148.
