Combat Female Veterans Families (CFVF) United

CFVF United is a charity organization that supports and connects the voices of combat female Veterans and their families by addressing the post-deployment obstacles related to professional development, personal needs and mental health. Through education, support and advocacy, combat female Veterans lives and related services can be improved.

Vision

Combat female Veterans with serious post-deployment issues including housing, career challenges, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), military sexual trauma (MST) and traumatic brain injury (TBI) and their families will have a family driven, parenting concerned organization to encourage their cycle of reintegration, independence, safety, happiness, success for their homes, secondary education, jobs and communities.

A combat female Veteran is a female service member who served in the Armed Forces of the United States and was deployed during a period of war to a hostile territory.  Combat female Veterans face uncertainty with regard to transitioning from war to the civilian world. They come home from fighting a war that has been all but forgotten. The number of combat female Veterans has reached the highest in the United States military history. There is an obvious disparity in organizations and resources for combat female Veterans. The female Veteran suicide rate is increasing as more females have been deployed to war. Female Veterans that are not connected to Veteran organizations have the highest rate of suicide for females Veterans. CFVF United will actively engage female Veterans returning from war to connect them with the resources they need to live a fulling life after war.
