Intellectual and developmental disability (IDD) service companies and organizations owned and operated by past and present members of the United States Armed Forces, including Veteran Owned Businesses (VOB) and Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB), as well as active duty military, reservists and military spouses representing the Army, Air Force, Marine Corps, Navy, Coast Guard, Space Force and National Guard, specializing in services and support for children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Veteran owned IDD service providers may offer independent living support, life skills training, personal care assistance, companion care, respite care, supported living, community integration, social skills development, employment support, transportation assistance, caregiver and family support, recreational programs and other individualized services designed to promote independence, inclusion, self-sufficiency and quality of life at home and in the community.
